Sponsorship Information

It’s that time of year again. We are now in the planning stages for the 2012 Sawyer County Fair. This fun filled community event is now entering its 105th year, and we are asking you to become a part of this history.

The Sawyer County Fair Association exists in order to promote and encourage education, agriculture, the arts and entertainment by holding this annual fair and its associated events. Each year it gets bigger and better thanks to YOU! In 2011 the crowds enjoyed entertainment and activities such as a demolition derby, an ATV mud bog and quad freestyle show, Poor Man’s racing, carnival, lawn tractor races, live bands and music. In addition were free pony rides for the kids, a magic show, numerous food booths in the food court, a daily Lions Club pancake breakfast, celebrity cow milking contest, animal exhibits, eating contests, veggie races, an educational fair, and fireworks on Friday and Saturday. There were 424 exhibits with 3506 total entries.

Over the 4-day period, close to 9500 people passed through the Sawyer County Fair gates. 564 volunteers helped to make it a resounding success, and generous donations from the community helped to provide funding for an event that costs nearly $97,000. We could not put on such an event without our wonderful volunteers and the support of our community. We will need your help more than ever. Any donation that you are able to make, whether it is monetary, or a donation of services, equipment, or time… is greatly appreciated.

As a sponsor, you will receive recognition in all advertising that we place for the Fair. We print and distribute 2500 exhibitors handbooks, 3 ads for 3 consecutive weeks leading up to the fair in the Sawyer County Record, Sawyer County Gazette, and Wild River Advertiser, a thank you ad in the same 3 papers, and a salute to the fair afterwards. You will also be named as a sponsor on our website.
